Who we are

Model my Property is a free website for drawing a property, seeing it in 3D and downloading files to 3D print. It is run by the person who owns this website.

What we keep

There are no accounts, and you never need to give your name or email address. Your work is saved automatically in your own browser so it is there when you return. It is not sent to us. Your projects stay on your device unless you save them to a file.

If you let the site use your location, your browser gives it once, only to move the map to where you are. It is not saved or sent to us.

Map files and photos you add (such as GeoTIFF lidar files) are read in your browser and are not uploaded.

Services the site loads from

Map pictures, place search, height data and parts of the 3D viewer come from other services, including Esri, OpenStreetMap (Nominatim and Overpass), the Environment Agency, the Rural Payments Agency, Mapillary and Amazon Web Services, and, for lidar elsewhere, the Welsh Government (DataMapWales, passed through our sister site Auto Field Maps), the Scottish Remote Sensing Portal, PDOK (the Netherlands) and IGN Géoplateforme (France). Like any website that loads from other places, they can see your internet address and which area you are looking at.

Adverts and cookies

The site shows adverts from Google AdSense to pay for itself. Google and its partners may use cookies, or similar technologies, to show adverts and to measure how they perform. Personalised adverts, based on your visits to this and other websites, are only shown if you agree when asked. If you do not agree, Google may still show non-personalised adverts, which use cookies only for things such as limiting how often you see an advert and preventing fraud.

You can change your choice at any time from the privacy link on the site, and turn off personalised adverts across the web at adssettings.google.com. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Where the law requires it (such as in the UK and the European Economic Area), Google's consent message asks you before any personalised adverts are shown, and you can choose non-personalised adverts instead.

Besides advertising cookies, the site sets no cookies of its own. Nothing about you is ever sold.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what information is held about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Because your work is kept in your own browser, you can delete it yourself at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
